ABOUT THE CELEBRATION
Next year, I’m turning 50 – a milestone I never thought I’d reach. In 2012, when Jess was just nine months old, I was diagnosed with primary breast cancer. After months of treatment, I hoped it was behind me, but later that year my cancer returned as secondary breast cancer. Incurable. In 2013, I was told I had less than two years to live.
Twelve years on, I’m still here. Still living, laughing and grateful for every day. Thanks to the NHS and The Royal Marsden, I’ve been on pioneering treatment for eight years that’s allowed me to enjoy life fully. Jess is now 14, and she and my husband, Simon, have been my absolute rock.
Out of this journey came Big Purple Pants – founded in 2019 to support people living with secondary breast cancer. What began as a small group is now a registered charity offering comfort, connection and hope.
So this birthday isn’t just a milestone – it’s a celebration of life, second chances and the charity that means the world to me and I'd love if you could be part of it.

THE EVENT
I’d love you to join me on Saturday 3rd October 2026, for a gorgeous evening at The Lion House, Boreham. It’s set to be a warm, joyful and memorable night filled with great food, music and good company.

Time: 6:00pm – 11:30pm
Venue: The Lion House, Main Road, Boreham, Essex CM3 3JA

Tickets are £85, and you can buy as many as you like. Come with friends, family or anyone who loves a good night out for a great cause. The more people we bring together, the more impact we can make.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
There is parking on site, making it easy for anyone driving.
If you’d like to stay overnight there are rooms are available at The Lion Inn or at the Premier Inn Boreham, less than 5 minutes away
If you’d prefer company on the journey, we can connect you with others travelling from your area so you can organise shared transport. Just let us know – we’re happy to help.
